Peggie Leslie Pritchard

Peggie Leslie Pritchard, 84, of Dry Branch, Georgia, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024.  The family will greet friends from 6PM to 8PM on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street.  A funeral service will be held at 3PM Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church, 7507 Old Gordon Road, Dry Branch, Georgia 31020,  with the Reverend Bill Lender officiating.  Burial will follow the service in the Church cemetery.

Daughter of the late Bernice Leslie and Mary Francis Crosby Leslie, Peggie was born in Dry Branch on August 3, 1940. She worked as an accountant and retired from Dry Branch Kaolin. Peggie’s life was devoted to her family. A loving wife, mother, and Mamama, these were her most treasured titles. There wasn’t a day that passed that she wasn’t serving and loving her family and those she cared for. Whether it be a long phone call, a warm meal she loved to watch you enjoy, or ensuring there was always a big pitcher of sweet tea in the fridge for anyone stopping by. She was always waiting and willing to tend to their every need with joy and satisfaction.

Peggie’s favorite past time was hosting company and her favorite company was her great grandchildren. They could do no wrong and she made sure everyone knew it. Peggie walked with the Lord and knew one day she would be made whole at the feet of Jesus. She longed for the day she would be reunited with her husband of 66 years, Billy. Today they are together, and we now long for the day we will be reunited with them both.

Peggie will be lovingly remembered by her children: Lisa Suggs Benton (Vic), Lori Pritchard, and Roger Pritchard (Felicia); grandchildren: Wesley Helmer, Angie Helmer, Logan Elder (Adam), Kaylie Anderson (Clint), and Taylor Pritchard; great grandchildren: Ace Elder, Lucy Elder, Huntlee Elder, Dusty Kayte Elder, Clay Anderson, and Cason Astin; and siblings, Gayle Harris, and Tommy Leslie (Linda).

In addition to her parents, Peggie was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Rogers Pritchard.
