Pearl Crumpton Wilkes

October 29, 1927 — December 10, 2011

Pearl Crumpton Wilkes, 84, of Macon, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011, at 2:00PM, in the chapel of Ingleside Baptist Church with Drs. Mark Hudgins and Laudis H. Lanford officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall. Donations may be made to Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, 4490 Ocmulgee East Blvd, Macon, GA 31217, or the Salvation Army, 1955 Broadway, Macon, GA 31206. Mrs. Wilkes was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and a volunteer at the Museum of Arts and Sciences and the American Cancer Society. She worked at Robins Air Force Base and retired as a deputy clerk from the U. S. Federal Court in Macon. She loved gardening and cooking. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was happiest when caring for her family. Mrs. Wilkes is now reunited with her husband, Raymond Wilkes Sr., the love of her life. Survivors include her children, Cathy Pittman (Dan) of Macon, and Ray Wilkes, Jr (Pam) of Jefferson, GA; grandchildren, Dan Pittman, Jr (Staci) of Macon, Melanie Wilkes of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Katie Neal (Chris) of Winder, Georgia, and Chad Wilkes of Jefferson, Georgia; and great grandchildren, Hannah Pittman and Olivia Pittman, both of Macon, and Emmie Kate Neal of Winder; and a brother, Samuel Crumpton (Beth) of Dublin, Georgia.
