Paul Leonard Strozier, Jr. 85, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. He was born in Macon, February 25, 1936, the son of the late Paul and Marie (Simpson) Strozier, Sr. He was a 1954 graduate of Lanier High School.

All his life Paul was known as a hard worker. He was good working with his hands. He could repair anything broken, from carpentry to automotive to plumbing, electrical. He held positions with distinction at numerous places from Piggly Wiggly, Wholesale Drug Store. Even as an 11-year-old peddling his bike up and down Second Street, he was trusted delivering The Macon Telegraph newspaper. After 33 years, he retired from Armstrong World Industries as a Mechanical Supervisor.

Paul lived in Macon all his days. He was kind to all, throughout life he collected friends wherever he went. But everyone who knew him, knew beyond doubt for more than 51 years, Patsy Nell Cobb was the joy of his life until her death in 2006. Three years later those who knew Paul the last 13 years of his life, knew God doubly blessed him with Patsy Evans Schewene. Patsy was the second pure joy of his life.

Paul and Patsy (Cobb) enjoyed nurturing three children, Len Strozier (Pam) of Fortson, Renee McCrory (Mike) of McDonough, and Mark Strozier (Leslie) of Macon. They are proud of six grandchildren, Courtney (Casey) Brandon (Sara) Benjamin, Kaly, Katie (Matt) and Chase. They enjoyed 4 great-grandchildren.

Paul and Patsy (Schewene) enjoyed nurturing two children, Vince Young (Cora) of Milledgeville Shannon Culver (Tony) of Macon They are very proud of three grandchildren Joseph (Charity), Jonathan (Cherish), Tyler (Caila), Ashley (Travis) Jennifer (Jacob.) They enjoyed seven great-grandchildren.

Paul was raised with two wonderful sisters, Alice Fields (the late Kenneth) and the late Mary and Jack Brantley.

He enjoyed being a member of New Heights Baptist Church and past President of the Kiwanis Club of Macon “Golden K.”

Now that Covid restrictions have eased, the family will hold a memorial service at the Hart’s Mortuary Cupula Saturday February 19, 2022, at 11:00 with the Reverends Len and Brandon Strozier officiating. After the service the family will greet friends at Hart’s Mortuary 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. Interment will be private at Macon Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to his beloved Methodist Home for Children and Youth 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Ga 31204.
