Paul Reese Prather

Paul Reese Prather, age 63, was born in Atlanta on December 22, 1960 and passed away after a long illness on August 22, 2024. His family knew him lovingly as ‘Bud’. He graduated from North Clayton High School. Paul took some college and technical training courses after high school which prepared him for a career as an industrial mechanic. He was able to repair most anything that broke and liked learning how things worked.

Paul enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping. He also loved animals (especially his cats), and he enjoyed feeding the birds around his house.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Davenport Prather and his father, E. Paul Prather. He is survived by his wife, Kim Laughlin Prather; his son, Kyle Reese Prather of Cleveland, Georgia; his granddaughter, Everley Reese Prather; his grandson, Lucas Kyle Prather; and his sister, Linda (Dale) Nevius of Eatonton, Georgia.

There will be a graveside service at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta on September 7, 2024 at 1:00pm.
