Patsy “Pat” Hamrick Starley, 79, of Gray, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, devoted caregivers, and her faithful dog, Conway Twitty.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, with burial to follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pat was born in Macon, Georgia, on May 19, 1947. She was a devoted wife for more than 57 years and a loving mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she never hesitated to put their needs before her own. She poured her heart into caring for those she loved, especially her grandchildren, and made sure everyone around her knew they were deeply loved.

Known for her vibrant personality, Pat had a sarcastic wit, a wonderful sense of humor, and, when necessary, a sharp tongue that those who loved her came to appreciate. She had a way of making people laugh, speaking her mind, and leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a passion for decorating her yard with beautiful flowers and whimsical touches and could be found working in her yard every day. Whether she was helping others with their yards, serving her church, or encouraging those around her, Pat gave freely of her time, love, and compassion. She was especially proud to be Amy’s biggest supporter and was always there with love, encouragement, and unwavering faith.

While her family will miss her beyond measure, they find comfort in knowing that Pat is now at peace, reunited with her beloved mother, her sisters, and her niece, Paula.

Pat will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Cecil Starley of Gray; daughter, Amy Starley (Parker) of Gray; grandchildren. Adam Timothy Parker and Amelia Claire Parker, both of Gray; sister, Judy Franks of North Carolina; nieces and nephews: Danny Blizzard of Gray, Tammy Brooks of North Carolina, Tiffany Stewart of North Carolina, Stephanie Slusher-Vale of Virginia, Rick Slusher of Virginia, and Christy Holliman of Thomaston; and sister-in-law, Kim Starley

Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Clarice McCook Hamrick.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers, Vastolvia "V" Williams, Trinincila "T" Cleveland, and Maria James. They were far more than caregivers—they became cherished friends and an important part of Pat's family. Their compassionate care, love, and support brought comfort not only to Pat but to all who loved her, and they will always hold a special place in the family's hearts.

The family welcomes that those attending the visitation or funeral dress casually or wear tie-dye in Pat’s memory, celebrating the joyful, colorful spirit she shared with everyone she met.
