Patsy J. Etheridge

Patricia “Patsy” J. Etheridge, 84, of Dry Branch, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Hart’s Mortuary, with Reverend Timothy Peavy officiating. The family will greet friends half an hour before the service. You can send flowers to Hart's or make contributions to Faith Baptist Church in honor of Ms. Patsy Etheridge.

Patsy was born on July 11, 1940, in Warner Robins, Georgia, to the late James Thomas and Carrie Lillian Johnson.  Patsy was a beautiful pianist, where she used her talents at Faith Baptist Church and Wheeler Heights Baptist Church.  Her membership was at Faith Baptist Church, and she was also a member of the XYZ Club and the Eagles Auxiliary Club.  Patsy was an office manager at many places, and her last place of employment was at Mad Dog Hydraulics.  Patsy’s faith kept her strong throughout her life.  She was loved by all who knew her. Her family will miss her greatly!

Patsy is survived by her children, Pamela Clark (Larry Hudson), Tony Avery (Janet), and Jamie Rudd; Johnny Etheridge; Toni Butts (David); Zachary Etheridge and thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Morris Etheridge, Jr.; her son, Jacky T. Avery; her daughter Tina Evans; her granddaughter Rachel Benefield; and her sisters, Nita, Norma, Sandra.
