Patrick Anthony "Butch" Layfield

Patrick Anthony "Butch" Layfield, 60, of Macon, died Saturday, April 10, 2021.  A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Sardis-Heard Funeral Home at 6125 Houston Rd., Macon, GA 31216.

Son of the late Bob and Peggy Layfield, Butch was a graduate of Warner Robins High School.  He loved fishing and was a diehard University of Alabama football fan.  He was an aircraft machinist at L.H. Thompson Machine Shop.

Butch is survived by his son, Blake Anthony Layfield (Jenna Brantley) of Gray; sisters, Connie Eden of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Cathy Smith (Ed) of Monroe, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
