Patricia Hellmuth Warnock

Patricia Hellmuth Warnock, 93, died Friday, February 28, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Christ Episcopal Church, with the Reverend Harriette Simmons officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 538 Walnut Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mrs. Warnock was born in Chicago, the daughter of Canadian and Swedish immigrants. She served in the Red Cross during World War II. She moved to Macon upon marrying Dr. Henry Warnock, who taught at Mercer for 40 years, and they were married for nearly 50 years at the time of his death in 2007. Mrs. Warnock worked in the Bibb County School System for 25 years as a counselor and vice-principal at numerous area high schools. In later years, she derived much joy when former students recognized her and came up to talk to her, or to embrace her. Mrs. Warnock is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Judy Warnock of Greenville, South Carolina, a niece, and four nephews. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
