Patricia "Patsy" Jones Moody

Patricia “Patsy” Jones Moody, 84, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024.  The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Hart’s at the Cupola, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in the Chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola. A private burial was held at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at www.komen.org

Patsy was born in Dublin, Georgia on March 6, 1940, to the late Carroll Jones and Ruth Pittman Jones.  She received two master’s degrees in education and dedicated her life to nurturing young minds across the Greene, Bibb, and Crawford County School systems, as well as at Windsor Academy.

Patsy's passion for teaching was matched by her love for quilting and sewing, a craft she pursued with great skill and joy. Her devotion to faith was evident through her active involvement at Vineville Baptist Church, where she formed many lasting friendships.

Remembered for her warmth, wisdom, and the profound impact she made on her students and community. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jennie M. Keys (Chris) of Macon; her son, SSGT Neal C. Moody of Macon; brother, Larry C. Jones (Jayne) of Dublin, Georgia; niece, Stacey Delziet (Don) of Kansas; and nephew, Ryan Jones (Becky) of Dublin, Georgia; great nephews, Dalton Delziet and Colton Jones; and great niece, Cameron Jones.

In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Harry G. Moody.
