Patricia Sawyer Gardiner

Patricia Sawyer Gardiner, 78, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

Patricia was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 14, 1945, to the late Mayhew and Edna Sawyer.

Pat attended art school at East Carolina University.  Pat served as the director of membership at Warrenton, Virginia Chamber of Commerce and served on the board at the Society of Bluffton Artists.  In January 2023, she moved from Beaufort to Macon with her husband.

She was a phenomenal artist and loved painting the low country and excelled in painting waterfowl. She was an avid Scuba diver and a lover of the sea. She was always in her element when she was underwater swimming with the fish.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her grandson, Riley Keagan Gardiner.

Pat will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Rob Gardiner; daughter, Dana Montoya & her husband Ric of Ocean City, Maryland; son, Scott Gardiner of Front Royal, Virginia; sister, Barbara Mae Sawyer of Hayes, Kansas; brother, Hugh Klesch-Sawyer of Kansas City, Missouri; and niece, Emily Renee Sawyer.
