Patricia Bates

Patricia Bates, 74, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on June 19, 2024.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church.  Family will greet friends for visitation one hour prior to service.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be made to Sonrise Ministries, 3378 Gray Highway, Gray, Georgia 31032, in honor of Patricia Bates.

Patricia was born on December 9, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Earl and Doris Jordan.  She never, ever met a stranger!  Ever! Patricia would even carry on a conversation with anyone and was not shy to take a selfie with anyone.  Another thing that Patricia will be lovingly remembered for is her ‘need for speed.”  She loved to drive fast, and she loved to dance.

Patricia was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.  She loved her family and friends very much and she will be missed dearly.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Larry Bates; her two children, Tonya Vanek (Jim) and Joshua Edge (Victoria); her grandchildren, Jesse Satterfield, Sierra Satterfield, Donovan Vanek, Jason McMillan, and Daisy McMillan; her five great grandchildren; her brothers, Danny Jordan (Mary) and David Jordan (Sissy); her sisters, Anita Meeler, Brenda Torstenson; her stepchildren, Larry Bates, Jr. And Susie Hayes; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Doris Jordan, and her brother, Darrell Jordan.
