Dale was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on September 10, 1973. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of P. Dale Hodges, a devoted husband, father, and friend, who departed this life on July 28, 2025 at the age of 51.
Dale lived a life marked by faith, family, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Among the many milestones he celebrated, some of the most cherished were his marriage to his high school sweetheart, beloved wife of 33 years, Gina, his Believer’s Baptism, and the joyful arrival of their two children, Ashton and Addison—moments that deeply defined who he was.
Family was always Dale’s top priority. He was a constant presence in his children’s lives, not only guiding them through their education but actively participating in every stage of their journey. Whether he was volunteering with the Marching Grayhounds Band, supporting Jones County Arts, or showing up at school functions with pride and enthusiasm, Dale made it known that his children’s dreams and interests were his own.
His dedication didn’t stop at his immediate family. Dale was an incredible uncle, and his impact on the lives of his nieces and nephews was nothing short of extraordinary. He was always available—offering guidance, laughter, and unconditional love. His presence brought comfort, and his influence will be felt for generations to come. He wasn’t just loved by them—he was treasured.
Dale’s legacy is one of unwavering commitment, deep faith, and an open heart. He will be remembered for the way he showed up—for his family, his community, and everyone who was enough to know him
Dale’s warm smile, steady encouragement, and servant heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was the kind of friend you could count on, and the kind of father every child hopes for—present, patient, and proud.
