Otis Paxton, Jr.

Otis Paxton, Jr., 79, of Macon, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with the Reverend Timothy Peavy officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Son of the late Otis Paxton, Sr. and Lillie Beatrice Mercer Paxton Kelly, Mr. Paxton was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Germany.  He was a retired maintenance technician at Diamond Plastics Corporation.  Mr. Paxton was long-time, faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Macon.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheryl Sangster, and son, Walter Glenn Turner.

Mr. Paxton is survived by daughter, Beverly Paxton Jordan (Jimmy); sons, Tony Singleton (Pam), and Samuel W. Turner, III; grandchildren, DJ Robinette, Ashly Kelley, Destinee Cooper, Desirae Cooper, Lee Cooper and Casey Cooper, Bubba Fincher, T. J. Fincher, David Sangster, III, Lee Jackson, Jr., Paige Sangster, Austin Turner, and Sarah Turner; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Jane Kelly Popovics (Chris) and Carmen Paxton Harold (Lloyd); brothers, Carl Kelly (Angela) and Craig Paxton; and close friend, Pat Etheridge.
