Olen Dominy

Olen Dominy, 82, died Thursday, January 17, 2013. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St Paul's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Hal J. Weidman officiating. Interment will be in the church memorial garden immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210 or St Paul's Episcopal Church, 753 College Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mr. Dominy was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where he was a lay reader, a longtime vestry member, and served on the committee that helped fund St. Paul's Apartments. Mr. Dominy served our country in the United States Army as an 82nd Airborne Ranger in the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and a charter member of River North Country Club. Mr. Dominy was a member of the Optimist Club and Sertoma. He worked in the Life Insurance business since 1954 and was a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Mr. Dominy was predeceased by his wife, Lil, and 12 brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the staff of Pine Pointe Hospice for their kind and loving care. Survivors include his son, Stan Dominy (Donna); daughter, Kim Reynolds (Carl); grandchildren, Bo and Nick Dominy, Kate, Hannah, Callie and William Reynolds; and great grandchildren, Alaina and Canaan Dominy.
