Norma Jean Neubold

June 9, 1941 — May 5, 2016

Norma Jean Neubold, 74, left this world to move on to others after a brief illness. She had her Master's Degree in Chemistry and Physics and taught both from the late 1960's through the 1990's. She was the first to start a 2nd year physics program in Bibb County teaching Special Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. Norma Jean unconditionally loved all those she met. She touched so many lives with her love of science and high spirituality. Her love will be missed by so many but always remembered by her son, Daniel L. Phillips and his wife, Brandie E. Phillips; sister, Katy Percell; grandchildren, Daniel R. Phillips and Eryn N. Phillips. Per her wishes, there will be a "Memory of Her Life" gathering at 5:00PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the home of Danny and Brandie, 934 Fair Oaks Drive, Macon, Georgia, for close friends, family and students whom she impacted to laugh, cry, and exchange stories of how she touched our lives. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Save-A-Pet, PO Box 933, Forsyth, Georgia 31029. Register online at www.hartsmort.com. Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola has charge of arrangements.
