Naomi Buff Creamer

December 30, 1932 — May 31, 2015

Naomi Buff Creamer, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, formerly of Macon, Georgia, died peacefully at home with her children present on May 31, 2015. Naomi went to be with her Lord and loving husband, Patrick A. Creamer. Naomi is the daughter of the late Joseph Newton and Hazel Souther Buff and the granddaughter of the late Frank and Isadora Souther. She graduated from A.L. Miller High School and Crandall Business College. She was retired from Burgess Carpet Center after 30 years as Secretary-Treasurer. Naomi was an active member of the First Baptist Church Sweetwater in Longwood, Florida, where she belonged to the Care Bears Sunday School Class. Naomi was a former member of Martha Bowman Memorial UMC, Nan Freeman Sunday School Class, Joy Circle, Congregational Care Ministry, Colaparchee Garden Club and The Morning Glory Reunion Group. She went on the ‘Walk to Emmaus' in 1990 which gave her a new purpose in life. Naomi was a volunteer for Sav-A-Life, the American Red Cross and President of Mothers Aainst Drunk Driving (MADD). Naomi was also a Girl Scout leader for many years. Naomi is survived by her son, Marvin (Skip) Horwitz (Nancy) Oviedo FL, daughters Denise Smith (Jeff), and Michelle Evans (Ken) Apopka FL; grandchildren, Charity Smith, Preston Goodrich, Hannah Goodrich, Ronnie W. Davis, Jr., Kristi M. Fenley, Stacy Goodrich and Darla Goodrich; sister Eudora Brown (Marv) of Roy, Utah; her loving nieces and nephews, Teresa Long, Ben Adams and Joe Adams and their families. She also survived by Tiny, her beloved dog. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Sweetwater ANGELS Ministry, 3800 Wekiva Springs Road, Longwood, FL 32779. The family will greet friends Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon GA. Services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015, 11:30 am, at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, with a private burial following. The Reverend Anthony McPhail will officiate.
