Nancy V. Palmer, 87, died Thursday, October 30, 2014. Services will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 2:00PM at Northridge Baptist Church, 2360 Gray Hwy, Macon, Georgia 31211, with Dr. Jim Bruner officiating. Burial will be private at Georgia Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Mrs. Palmer was born in Little Falls, New York to the late James Acquasanta and Sophie Sussonski Acquasanta. She was predeceased by her husband, D.C. Palmer and son, Nick Palmer. Mrs. Palmer was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a medic during World War II. She was a member of Northridge Baptist Church and also served as a Sunday School teacher at Highland Hills Baptist Church. Ms. Palmer was the co-owner and operator of Volume Tire Company. She was a member of American Legion and was active in the Republican Party. Mrs. Palmer is survived her sons, Craig Palmer (Laura) and Calvin Palmer (Priscilla), both of Macon; daughter, Veronica Stinson (Jimmy) of Gray; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild; and extended family and friends.
