Nancy Ruth Mckee

Nancy Ruth McKee died September 18, 2015. Services will be private. Mrs. McKee was born in Greenville, South Carolina. She was a graduate of Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia, drove a school bus for Crawford County for many years, and worked for GEICO for 11 years. She owned and loved many pets. Mrs. McKee's favorite color was green, and she enjoyed crafting, puzzling, playing World of Warcraft, listening to Kenny G, dancing, and the many hours spent sitting by her pond. She loved to wake up to the crow of a rooster and sip a cup of morning coffee. She was passionate about spending time with her grandbabies and about baking, and she was the best soul-food chef. Mrs. McKee adopted many children as her own. A kind- hearted lady, she care deeply for those she loved. Her favorite sayings were "This, too, shall pass" and "Not my monkey, not my circus." Mrs. McKee is survived by her husband, Kent McKee; four children: Wendy Gray (Al) of Lizella, Teresa Michelle Barraza (Balentin) of Dallas, Texas, Amanda Lucas of Lizella, Jessica Ruffin of Warner Robins; four step-children: Jennifer Fiquette (Dan) of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Kent Aaron McKee, Wendy May (Will), and Samuel McKee, all of Defuniak Springs, Florida; 14 grandchildren: Paige Gray, Lucas Barraza, Eva Barraza, Diego Barraza, Megan Black, Sophia Barraza, Jason Black, Victoria Lucas, Nicholas Seward, Kristopher Seward, Serra Fiquette, Caleb Fiquette, Clarice May, and Zane May.
