Nancy Deile, 79, of Macon, died November 16th at the Palliative Care unit of Navicent Health systems after a lengthy illness. She was born in Cortland, New York, the daughter of Wayne Arthur Currier and Bernadette Townley Currier. Nancy attended public schools in Utica, Eaton, and Cincinnatus, New York, graduating at age 16 from Cincinnatus Central School in 1953. Over the years Nancy acquired college credits at Miami-Dade, and Mercer University Survivors are her long-time and beloved husband and best friend Andrew J. Deile (Andy). She is also survived by her son, Christopher Wayne Costa of NYC, sisters Christine Micocci, and Genie Boulahanis both of Florida, and brother Charles Colver also of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Susan, William, and David. She worked at a variety of office jobs over the years, but from 1978 until 2001 she worked for several units of Alco Standard (later IKON Business Systems). Her first position after moving to Macon with Andy in 1986, was with Acme Business Systems. Her final responsibility (attained in 1991) was as Vice President for Customer Care for the IKON leasing unit in Macon. Nancy was proud of her accomplishments in this position, and she retired in 2001. Reading, gardening, antiquing, spending time with Andy, and many trips with Andy all over the USA, Canada, Central America and the Caribbean were Nancy's favorite things to do. The couple took 15 cruises together, visited Hawaii eight times, and visited most of our National Parks. Private family memorial services will be held at one of her sibling's homes at a time TBD. Memorial contributions are not desired, but if you must, then direct them to an Animal Welfare (adoption of strays) agency. The family requests privacy--please no phone calls! Written notes of condolence would be appropriate if you feel the need to express your thoughts. Register online at www.hartsmort.com. Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street has charge of arrangements.
