Mrs. Myrtle Lou Redding Wells passed away on October 13, 2025. She was 98 years old. She was the daughter of William Riley and Delilah Graham Redding. She was a native Georgian, living most of her life in Macon.
Mrs. Wells was predeceased by her husband, T.J. “Jack” Wells; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas W. Wells and Brenda Smith Wells; and sisters, Velma Redding Fordham and Thelma Redding Byrd.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Guerry and Diane Wells; granddaughters and their husbands, Christie Wells Anderegg (David) and Nancy Wells France (Andy); great-grandchildren: Wells France, Colt France, William Anderegg and Avery Anderegg. “Aunt Lou” was dearly loved by nieces and nephews: Wayne Wheeler (Denise), Bob Wheeler (Jeannie), Nan Wheeler Peters (Terry), David Fordham, Ricky Fordham (Beth), and Brenda Fordham.
The Wells Family expresses our deepest appreciation to our “extended family,” Cynthia, Dee, Elsie, Deddria, Anna, Brenda, and Nina. Their loving care for our mom was a blessing and we Thank them.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church with the Reverends John Haney and Keith Goodlet officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church, 132 Pitts Chapel Road, Macon, GA 31217.
