Myra Mullis Paul

Myra Mullis Paul, 86, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Macon Memorial Park, with Pastor Gary Lamb officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, Women’s Division (formerly known as the Dove Center) in honor of Mrs. Myra Mullis Paul at www.rescuemissionga.com or 6601 Zebulon Road, Macon, Georgia 31220.

Myra was born in Macon, Georgia, in 1937, to the Late Carlton and Adaline Mullis.  She graduated from A.L. Miller High School in 1955 and attended Middle Georgia College in Cochran.  She returned to Macon to work with her father, Carlton Mullis, of Mullis Auto Sales.

Myra met her husband, William Rowland Paul, during their high school years and they married on April 1, 1956.  He also worked at Mullis Auto Sales.  They started their family when their son William R. “Billy” was born in 1964.  She retired from the automobile industry after forty-two years.

Myra was a longtime member of the Hillcrest Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Macon Garden Club.  She loved to cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, William R. “Billy” Paul (Donna); her grandchildren, Kaci Paul and Lindsey Paul; her special friend, Luther Blalock of Macon; her sister-in-law, Juadeen Mullis of Braselton, Georgia; her nephew, Carlton Johnathan Mullis of Atlanta, Georgia; her niece, Melissa M Raiford (Hugh) of Flowery Branch, Georgia; and her two great nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Shelton Mullis.
