Myra Ruth Barfield, 78, of Eatonton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025. The memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 12:00 noon October 25, 2025, at her home 112 North Bream Court, Eatonton, GA.

Mrs. Barfield was born in Macon, Georgia on June 3, 1947, to the late Raymond and Lula Fowler. She dedicated over 20 years of her life to her work as a hairdresser, where she made lasting connections and brought joy to many through her kindness and creativity. After retiring from hairdressing, she finished out her working career at JCPenney.

Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Barfield was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Edward Barfield, Jr.. She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Chris Strong (Shannon) of Haddock, Georgia, Micah Strong (Tangie) of Eatonton, Georgia, and Mark Strong (Ashley) of Cadwell, Georgia; grandchildren: Conner Strong, Garrett Strong (Abbie), Payton Strong, Mason Strong, and Justin Strong; step-grandchildren: MaKayla Johnson, Sydney Johnson, Joseph Daniel Barfield, and Michael Barfield; and several extended family members and friends.
