Mozelle Herrington Mcleod

Mozelle Herrington McLeod, 95, passed away on March 14, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, at 1:30 PM at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Dr. Luther Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hart's at the Cupola on Monday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. The family may be contacted at 380 Heritage Drive, the residence of Jeanine and George Mason.

Mrs. McLeod is the daughter of the late Sid and Eleanor Rainey Herrington of Bronwood, Georgia and is preceded in death by her husband, D.L. McLeod and sisters, Bertha Coxwell, Ruby Herrington, Estelle Barfield, Sara Pridgeon and Carolyn Proctor. Mozelle was a member if Napier Avenue and Daystar Church of God, serving as a dedicated Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She was retired from Hardeman's Animal Hospital. Survivors include daughters, Jeanine Mason (George), Morion McLeod, Sandra Grover; son, Larry McLeod (Sue); seven grandchildren, Sherry Mason, Tara Harper, Anitra Mason, Traci Sheffield (Bill), Denise Holton (Bruce), Danny McLeod and Terry McLeod; seven great grandchildren, Sylvia Worrell (James), Robin Middleton (Jared), Jason Hughes, Leslie Gowan (Nate), Joshua Holton, Jacob Holton and Erin Mason, and five great great grandchildren Chloe Worrell, James Worrell, Hannah Worrell, Rachel Worrell and Caleb Middleton; sister-in-law, Athalia Howell; brother-in-law, Leonard Pridgeon, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. The family suggests that donations be made to Heartland Hospice, Gideons International or your favorite charity. Flowers will be accepted.
