Macon- Monica Clare Murphy, 86, of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, March 13, 2009. Memorial services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2:00PM at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with the Reverend Cile Mitchell officiating. Interment will be private. Born in Daytona Beach, Florida, Mrs. Murphy was the daughter of the late Dr. A.W. Irwin and Clara Wiese Irwin. She was the widow of Walter Bragg. She was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. Mrs. Murphy is survived by her children, Joyce Ann Sparks, Georgia Phillips, Michael A. Murphy, Colleen Parker, all of Macon; Marcus I. Murphy of Vermont; Brother, Andrew Irwin of Indiana; Sister, Ann Blocker of Charleston, South Carolina; 13 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great- Great- Grandchildren. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory , Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
