Missie Brooking

Missie Brooking, 68, of Macon died Sunday, December 5, 2010. Funeral service will be private at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00PM to 6:00PM, Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Hart's at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210; Vineville United Methodist Church, 2045 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA 31204; or the donor's favorite charity. Mrs. Brooking graduated from Stuart Hall in Staunton, Virginia. She earned her bachelor's degree from Finch College in New York City and her master's degree from Auburn University. Missie was a vocational evaluator at Goodwill Industries in Atlanta and Macon. Mrs. Brooking is survived by her husband of 43 years Lynwood Brooking of Macon; daughter, Lindsey Brooking Williams and her husband Derek of Daphne, Alabama; and grandson, Eli Williams of Daphne.
