Miss Mary Ellen "Mary" Agnew

Mary Ellen "Miss Mary" Agnew, 91, died Monday, December 9, 2013. Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with Dr. Marcus Tripp officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday from noon until 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Vineville United Methodist Church, 2045 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 or to the Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mrs. Agnew, a longtime resident of Macon, was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church and the Ed Cook Sunday School Class. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and was the owner and operator of "Miss Mary's Playschool" for twenty-seven years. Mrs. Agnew was predeceased by her husband of sixty-five years, Charles A. Agnew, Jr., her parents, Mattie Lou and Gene Robertson, her sister, Tula Donner and her son-in-law, Clifton G. Orr. Mrs. Agnew is survived by her daughters, Monnie Agnew of Macon, Jenny Orr of Macon and Mimi Kroeber (David) of Atlanta; grandchildren, Myles Brown, Brinson Orr, Brandt Orr, Ross Kroeber, Chad Kroeber, Hollin Kroeber, Reed Kroeber and Cole Kroeber; great-grandchildren, Ansleigh Brown, Brighton Brown and Hannah Brown; nephews and niece, Josh Donner, Beau Donner, Matt Donner and Sarah Waldrep.
