Mildred Moon Smarr

Mildred Moon Smarr, 82, of Macon, GA. passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon with Pastor Monty Febuary officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Burial will be private at Macon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church, 3216 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon, GA 31216.

Mrs. Smarr was the daughter of the late William M. Moon, Sr. and Alice Bush Moon. She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Smarr Bailey and her brother William M. Moon, Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce Moon Jackson; one grandson, William Oliver Bailey, Jr.; three grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.

Mrs. Smarr was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a long time member of Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church. She spent the last years of her life receiving loving care in the Heritage Healthcare Nursing Home. Staff and patients will miss her remarkable ability to appreciate the uniqueness in each and every one.
