Mildred Smith Mcryan

Mrs. Mildred Smith McRyan, 90, went home to be with the Lord in the early hours of Sunday, September 22, 2013 with her family by her side. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Harts Mortuary 765 Cherry Street from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens Joycliff Rd with Reverend Timothy Peavy officiating . Mrs. McRyan was born on March 24, 1923 to the late John and Margie Brewer Smith of Telfair County. On December 20, 1957 she became an active member of Faith Baptist Church. For 55 years, Mrs. McRyan was a dedicated member along with holding numerous offices. Mrs. McRyan was known for her love of flowers and having a green thumb. She is predeceased in death by her husband, James McRyan, brothers Edgar Smith, Ethridge Smith and Charlie Smith. Survivors include Vergie Fussell of Lizella, William Smith of Macon, and J. D. Smith of West Haven, CT, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted, however, donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 4704 Jeffersonville Rd. Macon, GA 31217 or to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 440, Meansville, GA 30256. Friends may sign the online register at www.hartsmort.com.
