Mildred Wilbanks Harber, 96, of Macon, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend John Kinser officiating. Burial will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Grey Hill Cemetery in Commerce, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Campus for Christ, 100 Lake Hart Drive, Orlando, FL 32832.
Daughter of the late Dillard Hicks and Lassie Lee Kirby Wilbanks, Mrs. Harber was born in Batesville Community of Habersham County, Georgia. She received her bachelor's degree in home economics from the University of Georgia and taught for many years at Riley Elementary School in Bibb County. She was a member of the Philosophical Education Organization, and Delta Kappa Gamma, Delta Chapter of Macon. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Macon and Covenant Sunday School Class for many years. Mrs. Harber was preceded in death by her husband, George McCoy Harber, and siblings, Earnest Wilbanks, Earl Wilbanks, Mary Lee Berry, and Marie Black.
Mrs. Harber is survived nieces and nephews, John Wilbanks, Carolyn Storey, Cindy Black, Diane Brown, Kim Waters, Bob Wilbanks, Jane Barnette, Mary Edwards, Norman Berry, Billie Ann Bolton, Doug Bolton, Nancy Broyles, Jim Harber, Tal Harber, Rob Harber, Amy Rowe, Bill Berry, Jeff Harber and Helen Singer.
