Mildred Elizabeth Anderson Allen

Mildred Elizabeth Anderson Allen, 97, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street Chapel on January 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM with burial services following at the Masonic Cemetery in Irwinton, GA. The family will greet friends on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Mrs. Allen's early life was lived in Irwinton, GA where she raised her family. She was self-employed as a beautician and active in the community as well as the Irwinton Baptist Church. Her later years were spent in Macon, GA at Magnolia Manor and she was a member of Vineville Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen loved selflessly and always expressed that love to her daughters, grandchildren, family and friends. She will be remembered most for her quick wit, heart-warming smile and homemade biscuits. Mrs. Allen is predeceased by her husband, John Lynwood Allen and her grand-daughter, Julie Elizabeth Davis. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Ann Hockenberry (Vern) of Macon, Debra Allen Boney (Billy) of Macon, Karen Allen Batts (Gary) of Juliette; grandchildren, Melody Surbaugh (David), Timothy Hockenberry (Ashley), Libby Hockenberry, Daniel Davis, Christie Bailey (Mick), John Davis, Betsy Boney Reese (Sam), Brittany Boney, Allen Batts, Eric Batts (Suzanne), Stephen Batts (Karen), Joseph Batts (Brittany); and great-grandchildren, Kaity, Maddie, Parker, Finn, Carolina, Jacob, Anderson, and Ella Jane.
