Mickey Griffin

Mickey Gordon Griffin, 79, died Saturday, July 27, 2013. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 10:30am at New Hope Baptist Church with the Reverends Bob Hamilton, Len Woodard and David Long officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday from 6:00-8:00pm at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Mrs. Griffin was born in Knoxville, Georgia to the late Henry Grady Gordon and the late Erie Becham Gordon. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Griffin retired from the Baconsfield Kroger with 13 years of service. Mrs. Griffin is survived by six children, Linda Pierce of Columbus, Georgia, Gail Madison (Jim) of Jones County, Peggy Williams (Rook) of Epworth, Georgia, Donna Fulton (Johnny) of King, North Carolina, Dave Griffin of Jones County, and Alan Griffin (Cindy) of Juliette, Georgia; Eight Grandchildren: Kelley Smith, Brandon Madison, Brent Madison, Jessica Miller, Christina Settles, Brittany Griffin, April Drake and Memory Thornton; and three great-grandchildren: Aiden Thornton, Teryn Thornton and Bryson Madison.
