Mickey L. Carroll

Mickey Lerue Carroll, 79, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Monday, December 23, 2024, in the Chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mickey was born on October 13, 1945, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Samuel Carroll and Mary Elma Hancock Carroll. His life was marked by honor, dedication, and service, both in his military career, where he served in the coast guard during Vietnam, and through his professional career as the owner of M.L. Carroll and Associates Accounting Firm.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mickey was deeply involved in his community, serving as a long-time treasurer for the Parkway Assembly of God. His commitment to his faith and community was mirrored by his passion for running.

Known for his great sense of humor, Mickey brought joy and laughter to those around him.  For the last three years, Mickey was a resident of Carlyle Place.

Mickey will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Olivia Marie Fowler (Greg) of Beulaville, North Carolina, Clara Grace Christian of Macon, and Hope Christian of Macon; two great grandchildren, Alec Ray and Daisy Grace Fowler; and brothers-in-law, Joe E. Williams, Jr. (Becky) of Macon, and Daniel E. Williams (Ginger) of Dillard, Georgia.

In addition to his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Rachel Williams Carroll; daughter, Shelly Whitaker (Cody); and granddaughter, Coraline Whitaker.
