Michael Lee Shelley

Michael Lee Shelley, 50, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Funeral services will be Friday, March 7, 2014 at 4:00PM at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street, with Sonny Seneker officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to woundedwarriorproject.org. Mr. Shelley was retired from United States Army with twenty years of service with two tours in Iraq. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a graduate of Northeast High School, class of 1982. His grandson was the light of his life. Survivors include his two daughters, Heather Shelley of Bellevue, Nebraska and Leanna Shelley of Daytona, Florida; grandson, Christopher Von Hagel, Jr. of Daytona, Florida; mother, Mildred B. Shelley of Macon; brother, Jack Shelley, Jr. of Macon; two aunts, Barbara Kite and Peggy Ninekirk (Donnie); and several cousins. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
