Michael "Mike" Aubrey Sapp

Michael Aubrey “Mike” Sapp, 56, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on October 14, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Hart’s on Cherry Street, with Pastor Randy Pruitt officiating.

Born in Jesup, Georgia on December 23, 1969, Mike was the son of Ruth Sapp Palmer and the late Wilton Aubrey Sapp. He was a graduate of Wayne County High School and Georgia Southern University, where he earned a degree in biology. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, stationed in Misawa, Japan. Throughout his career, Mike worked as a teacher in New Mexico and Oregon before becoming an IT specialist with Community Health Services in Macon.

A man of faith, Mike was a member of the Free Will Baptist faith. Above all, he loved his children, who were the most important part of his life. He will be remembered for his service, dedication, and the love he shared with his family.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Miranda Sapp; son, Alex Sapp; mother, Ruth Palmer (Bruce); brother, Mitchell Sapp (Billie); stepsister, Lorri Tanner (Jimmy); aunt, Sylvia Sapp; and two nieces.
