Michael Smarr Haney

Michael Smarr Haney of Dallas, Texas, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2:00PM at New Providence Baptist Church, Smarr, Georgia with the Reverend Brian Moore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to New Providence Baptist Church, 2560 Highway 41, Smarr, Georgia 31029. Mr. Haney was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He worked for several different airlines, most recently Express Jet in Atlanta. Mr. Haney is survived by his mother, Janice Smarr Haney; brothers, James W. Haney, III, Jeffery W. Haney and John A. Haney; five nieces and nephews, James M. Haney, Mathew W. Haney, Holland H.
