Kay Michael Brice, 67, 554 Rosa Taylor Drive, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 3:00PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Camille Hegg officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The family will greet friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 753 College Street, Macon, GA 31201, or to Macon Concert Association, P. O. Box 5694, Macon, GA 31208, or to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, c/o HCR Manor Care Foundation, P. O. Box 10086, Toledo, Ohio 43699-0086.
Mr. Brice, son of the late William Kay Brice and the late Georgia Edith Adams Brice, was born on December 5, 1940, in Gainesville, GA. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where he served as Junior and Senior Warden. Mr. Brice was an accomplished artist who loved to paint in various media. He was an ardent supporter of local arts and music. Mr. Brice was a board member of Macon Concert Association and a former board member of St. Paul's Apartments, Macon Rotary Club and the Georgia Home Furnishings Association. Mr. Brice was the owner of Brice Antiques from 1973 until 1987 and the owner of Beds and Bedding from 1985 until 2004. He was a well-known appraiser of antiques and was highly rated as an antiques dealer by Brown's Guide to Georgia magazine.
Mr. Brice is survived by his wife, Janice Hobbs Brice of Macon; daughters, Krystina Maria Brice of Prague, Czech Republic and Stephanie Brice Percynski (Scott) of Johns Creek, GA; grandchildren, Ava Percynski and Brice Percynski, both of Johns Creek, GA; brother-in-law, Thomas Hobbs (Dana) of Shreveport, LA; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
