Macon

Melody Williams Pyles, 76, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola on Peake Road on Tuesday, July 21st, at 2:00 p.m. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Macon Memorial Park.

Born in Macon, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Zilphialu Williams. For 59 wonderful years, Melody shared a loving marriage with her husband, Jack Pyles. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and unconditional love. Their marriage was a beautiful example of commitment, friendship, and steadfast devotion.

More than anything else, Melody treasured her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring “MiMi” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a remarkable gift for making those around her feel loved, welcomed, and important. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, warm smile, and quiet strength touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was truly beautiful, both inside and out.

A dedicated homemaker, Melody poured her heart into caring for her family. She also worked alongside her husband at Pyles & Company, where she faithfully supported the family business for many years. Whether caring for her children, celebrating her grandchildren’s accomplishments, or simply enjoying time together, Melody found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by those she loved. Her love was constant, selfless, and unconditional.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Misti Pyles Stanley.

She is survived by her faithful husband of 59 years, Jack Pyles; her son, Brad Pyles (Natalie); her daughter, Mandy Allen (Mark); her son-in-law Robert Stanley; her grandchildren, Justin Staro (Zach); Jacob Stanley; Madelyn Pyles Maugeri (Francis); Jackson Pyles (Nicole); Sam Stanley, Macie Allen Elston (Kyle); Sarah Pyles; Maddox Allen; Ava Allen; and Ella Allen; her precious great-grandchildren, Olive Staro and Henry Staro; and her sister, Charlotte Rowland (Walt), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Melody’s greatest legacy is the family she loved so deeply. She taught us that kindness, grace, generosity, and love are life’s most important gifts. Her memory will live on through the values she instilled and the countless lives she touched with her gentle heart. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her example will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
