Melba "Jerrie" Walker Mccullough

Melba "Jerrie" Walker McCullough, 75, of Newnan, Georgia died Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Dr. Jim Donovan officiating. The family would like to extend to family and friends an invitation to speak during the service. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends at the funeral home following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Susan G. Komen, Central Georgia, 277 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Suite 101, Macon, Georgia 31201, or to a preferred breast cancer charity. Mrs. McCullough was a 1960 graduate of A. L. Miller High School in Macon and attended Georgia Southwestern. She was an educator for over forty years. Mrs. McCullough was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Newnan, Georgia. She was a great mom who enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family and was an exceptional coach's wife. She loved doting on her dog, Emma, and taking her on long walks. Mrs. McCullough is survived by her husband, William McCullough of Newnan; son, Rob McCullough (Jamie Decker) of San Diego, California; daughter, Kim McCullough Hayes (Kenny) of Albany; step-grandson, Ken Hayes (Stacy); step-great-grandchildren, Ward and Walker Hayes.
