Maynard Mcl Barlow

Macon- Maynard McL Barlow, 83, of 8436 Georgia Highway 57, died Thursday, November 3, 2011. Services will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 3:00PM at New Haven Baptist Church with the Reverends Sam Loyd and Gabby Loyd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family may be contacted at 7862 Hammock Road and will greet friends on Saturday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to New Haven Baptist Church, 893 New Haven Church Road, Gordon, Georgia 31031. Mr. Barlow was the husband and sweetheart of the late Jaunita Clark Barlow and the son of the late William C. and J D Barlow. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond Gary Barlow and his brother, William C. Barlow, Jr. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church and worked at Georgia Kraft for more than forty-seven years. Mr. Barlow served on the Twiggs County Board of Education for more than twelve years. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served in World War II. Mr. Barlow is survived by his sons and daughters, Carl W. Smith (Vickie), Johnny C. Barlow (Betty), Debra B. Walke (Richard) and Renee B. O'Neal (Joey); seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and his cats, Pesky, Patches and Socks. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
