Max Bledsoe, 73, of Milledgeville, died Friday, December 18, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, December 21, 2009 at the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. The Reverend Milton Wood will be officiating. Burial will be at Gospel Mission Baptist Church Cemetery in Twiggs County. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Bledsoe was a member and trustee of Friendship Baptist Church in Eatonton, Georgia. He was a member of the Macon Motor Boat Club. Mr. Bledsoe was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a paratrooper. He was a painting contractor by profession. He was the son of the late Mamie and Fletcher Bledsoe.
Mr. Bledsoe is survived by his wife, Berta Bledsoe of Milledgeville; 5 daughters; Robin Ethridge (Mike) of Macon, Vickie McPherson (Butch) of Macon, Sherry Linderman (Daniel) of Savannah, Pam Barron (John) of Macon, and Christy Hallman (Jeffrey) of McIntyre; 10 grandchildren; Michael and Jason Ethridge, Morgan and Ashley Kate McPherson, Tyler and Taylor Linderman, Jennifer and Jonathan Barron and Hailey and Kaitlyn Hallman, 2 great grandchildren, Sophie and Jorja Ethridge; 2 sisters, Mildred Griffin of Wilkinson County and Edna Johnston of Macon; and 2 brothers; Jack Bledsoe of Macon and Bill Bledsoe of Gordon. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 635 Twin Bridges Road SW, Eatonton, Georgia 31024 or to United Hospice, 6060 Lakeside Commons Drive, Macon, Ga. 31210.
