Mavis Purvis Putnal

Mavis Purvis Putnal, 95, of Macon Georgia, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 4:00PM in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Sonny Seneker officiating. Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210, or Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mavis was the widow of Stafford Harding Putnal; and the daughter of the late, Henry William Purvis and Verde Miller Purvis. Also predeceased were three of her children, Gary Putnal, Greg Putnal, and Stan Putnal; as well as siblings, Nolan Purvis and WanL Purvis Ward. Mavis was a master seamstress and avid gardener. She loved to antique. Fishing was her passion. Survivors include sons, Rex Putnal (Gayle) of Mexico Beach, Florida, and Steve Putnal (Kay) of Dry Branch; daughter, Zeta Rowntree (David) of Macon; daughters-in-law, Wade Putnal and Kay Putnal; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and brother, H.W.
