Mavis Sparks Karr

Mavis Sparks Karr, age 98, passed away March 3, 2022, at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, GA.   A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, GA, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM. The Reverend Jeff May of Valdosta will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your local hospice.

Mrs. Karr was born in Randolph County, Alabama. She was Methodist by faith.  She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Olin and Corrie Pitts Ozley, four siblings and her husbands, Walter D. Sparks, Jr, and Martin E. Karr.

Survivors include a brother John H. Ozley, daughter, Rebecca Sparks Little and a son, John Walter Sparks (Linda). Grandchildren include Sandy Little Herring (Chase), Kathy Little Bowen, Jacob Eden Sparks, Julia Sparks Doughty, and Stephen David Sparks. Great grandchildren include Claire Bowen, Mason Herring, Sebastian Doughty, Amos Doughty, Abner Doughty, Dawson Sparks and Gabriel Sparks.
