Mary Louise Reilly

Mary Louise Reilly, 88, of Macon, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mary was born on May 14, 1933. in Long Island, New York to the late Armand R. and Edna Byrne Reeves.  She grew up in Long Island and attended Elementary, High School, and a few years in college there.  In 1955 she began her working career in accounting.  After dating for two years, she married the love of her life, Eugene, in 1963 and together they had two sons, Thomas and Michael. They retired and moved to the North Carolina coast in 1982, and then two years later moved to Jupiter, Florida, where they lived for 20 years. In 2004 she and Eugene moved to Macon, Georgia to be closer to family.

Mary loved working with her hands. She loved wood working, construction, and she was an extraordinary seamstress.  She loved the ocean, and fishing with her husband, Gene. She was a strong-minded and dynamic person.  Mary loved her family immensely and will be missed by many.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Thomas Reilly (Elaine), of Macon, Georgia, and Michael Reilly (Erin), of Jupiter, Florida; grandson, Brandon Reilly; granddaughters, Caroline and Cassandra Reilly; special sister-in-law, Patricia Reilly Skinner (Jack), of New Bern, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews, many friends and her beloved Shih Tzu, Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Edward Reilly; sister, Alta Reeves, and brother Armand Reeves.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s honor to Pine Pointe Hospice at 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
