Macon- Mary Winifred Powell, of Macon, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Magnolia Manor, St. Simons Island GA . Graveside services will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery in Macon, Georgia. Reverend Helen Willoughby will officiate. The family will have a visitation from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 in Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, Macon, Ga. Born in Sandersville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Eugene Tanner and Carrie Ivy Tanner. She was the widow of Kinnie Durrell Powell. Mrs. Powell was a retired bookkeeper from Union Furniture Company in Macon and was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Janet McDonald (Tom) of Brunswick, Ga. Grandchildren, Melissa Morrison(Scott) of Brunswick, Ga. and Amanda Berretta (Michael) of Roswell, Ga. and Four great Grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother L.E. Tanner of Fernandina Beach, FL. In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to the Centenary United Methodist Church, 1290 College Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
