Mary Bernadette Myers: 93, of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, December 2, 2011. In celebration of her life, a Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Father Allan J. McDonald will officiate. A rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2011 in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Visitation will follow until 9 p.m. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late William Ellsworth Chamberlain and Kathryne Walsh Chamberlain. She was the widow of George Joseph Myers, Jr., her husband of sixty-one years and predeceased by two brothers, Robert Chamberlain and David Chamberlain. Bernadette was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and was a homemaker. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her children, Mary Bernadette Carty (Robert) of Fayetteville, Ga.; George J. Myers III (Dinah) of Macon, Ga.; Peter W. Myers (Maureen) of Carrollton, Tx; Deborah Henriksen (Eugene) of Macon, Ga.; Kathryne Walsh (Christopher) of Setauket, NY.; Virginia Stargel (Wayne) of Chapel Hill, NC; William E. Myers (Marilou) of Forsyth, Ga.; Laurie Poschel (Timothy) of Roswell, Ga.; Jonathan P. Myers of Macon, Ga.; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty- three great grandchildren; brother, William E. Chamberlain Jr. of Palo Alto, Ca. Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, United in Love Campaign, 830 Poplar Street, Macon, Ga. 31201.
