Mary Sue Miles

Mary Sue Miles, 85, of Macon, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Cobbtown with the Reverend Doug Rainwater officiating.

Daughter of the late Levy and Lucile Thrift, Mary Sue was an avid animal lover.  She was extremely selfless, always putting others first, people and animals. She had a servant heart, always helping others and always so giving of herself.

Mary Sue was a member of Cobbtown Baptist Church, where she accepted the Lord into her life at very young age.  She loved her daughter and son-in-law deeply and would do anything for them.  She was an extremely hard worker.  She worked at TKG International from 1977-2001 as a textile engraver.  Following her retirement, Mary Sue worked at K-Mart for 17 years.

Mary Sue is survived by her daughter, Monica Darsey (Wayne) of Gray; siblings, Daniel R. Thrift (Betty) of Jones County, her twin, William Hugh Thrift (Sybil) of Macon, Margie Thrift Coleman of Cobbtown, Georgia, Barbara Thift Lanier (John) of Jones County, and Jacky D. Thrift (Linda) of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
