Mary Mcclelland Jenkins

Mary McClelland Jenkins, 90, passed away on Monday August 6, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6234 Peake Road, with the Reverend John Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior at the Cupola.

Mrs. Jenkins was born January 13, 1928 in Flovilla, Georgia to the late William Henry McClelland, Sr and the late Mary Elizabeth Williams McClelland. She graduated from Mary Persons High School in Forsyth, Georgia in 1945. She devoted her life to her late husband and three children. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She retired from the City of Macon.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert Awtry Jenkins, who died January 20, 2015. Mary is survived by her three children, daughter, Susan Plagge (Richard), son, Steve Jenkins (Sonya), daughter Lynn Bossert; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
