Born in Virginia, She was the daughter of the late James Peden and Lillie Mae Springfield Peden. She was retired from Brown and Williamson after 37 years of service. She was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church in Macon. She is survived by her husband, William S. Humphries Sr. of Macon, Children, Thomas Hall of Smithfield, Virginia; Wallace Hall of Smithfield, Virginia; William S. Humphries Jr. of Macon; Mark Howard Humphries Sr. of Petersburg, Virginia. Grandchildren, Lacey Beth Hall, Mark H. Humphries Jr., Courtney Brooks Humphries, and Nathan Hypes. Great grandchild, Julia Quinn Humphries; Sisters, Jo Carter of Rescue, Virginia; Ann Ramsey of Battery Park, Virginia; Nancy Hopson of Smithfield, Virginia. Brother, James Peden of Battery Park, Virginia. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street has charge of local arrangements.
