Mary Jo Flynn Ham: 83, of Macon, Georgia went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 16, 2013. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. in Ingleside United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service in the church. ***Burial and graveside service will take place in the Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00AM. Born in Jefferson County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Inge and Nora Wheeler Flynn. She was the widow of Lamar F. Ham, Jr. Mary had a very successful career with the UAB Medical Center in Birmingham before she moved to the Middle Georgia Hospital in Macon, serving as a supervisor for 23 years until her retirement. Mrs. Ham was a member of the Ingleside United Methodist Church in Macon, and the Brake Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her three step children, Lamar, Marilyn, and Michael Ham. First cousins, Joy Dulin of Brookside, Alabama, Gloria Wolfe of Brookside, Alabama, and Garner Billingsley of Graysville, Alabama; Several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Also her special Macon family, Nellie Colquitt and her family, Judy Hight, Paul and Mary Beth Butts, Anne McKinley, and many other friends and former co-workers.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Ingleside United Methodist Church, C/O: General Fund, 3187 Ridge Ave. Macon, Georgia 31204.
