Mary Elizabeth Berta

Macon- Mary Elizabeth Berta, 91, of 529 Bolingreen Drive, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00PM at Evergreen Cemetery with the Reverend John McGowen officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence of John and Ginger Berta, 4400 North Franklinton Road and will greet friends at the graveside on Saturday from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. Mrs. Berta was a hard worker who loved her kids, gardening, fields, pulpwood, and embroidery. She had a strong faith in Jesus and was very religious. Mrs. Berta, wife of the late Michael John Berta, was the daughter of the late Charles Gazdik and the late Mary Tomori Gazdik. She was predeceased by three children, Michael Berta, Tom Berta and Annie Berta, one sister and two brothers. Mrs. Berta is survived by her sons and daughters, John Berta (Virginia) of Macon, Mary Ellen Kennedy (Jerry) of New York, Michaelene McCoy of Macon, Jim Berta (Dunita) of Macon and Syracuse Johnson of Macon; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Gazdik of Sheridan, Wyoming; several nieces and nephews.
